ANIME EXPO!!!!
wow, what an incredible experience! Samurai Genji ch.1 is out!!! thank you everyone that bought a copy! i cant tell you how cool that is! hmmm... well maybe its as cool as having a sketch-trade with DAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHA!!! and i did!!!!

i got to meet wen and man does he seem chill, i randomly caught him on the first day, before hall was open, i asked for his autograph and began to clumsily find something for him to sign, but he offered to do a sketch trade!!! how cool and inspiring is that?! its one thing to meet one of your heroes but to have them draw something for YOU and want YOU to draw something for THEM is a feeling too magnificent to describe. i hope one day i can make someone feel as cool/inspired as wen made me feel! (=

i also got to meet in person! he's also really chill, hopefully we will do some sketchjams soon (=

and i wish i could have partied with my friend after hours but i had too many commissions (which is good and bad)

wen's style is almost TOO perfect!!! his attention to detail and precision is in a class of its own. His character concepts are so creative and imaginative. I would be lying if i said he hasn't influenced my drawing in one way or another. I really admire how he is able to capture that mix between realism and fantasy by using the principles of painting in the real world but applies them to his own world of fantasy. and did i mention he is EFFING CHILL AS HELL!!! even though we only shared a few words i could tell he is a down to earth kind of guy that is doing what he wants to do, and having fun doing it. Thanks again wen! i will never forget you!
